Initial data dashboards launched on World AIDS Day 2014
2Paths worked with PEPFAR for over three years to launch new versions of their data dashboards. With our creative partner DesignStamp, we worked with the US Department of State, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the USAID-funded MEASURE Evaluation to support PEPFAR, providing unprecedented access to their work around the world. We helped satisfy Ambassador Deborah Birx’s key initiative to bring HIV/AIDS-related aid data online and provide increased data transparency.
2Paths led the scoping, strategy, design, architecture and development to create a comprehensive data visualization dashboard for World AIDS Day on December 1st 2014, in an extremely tight 3 month timeline. The first release of the data dashboards was met with praise, and its successful adoption led to the desire to provide more data access and a subsequent version for World AIDS Day, December 1st 2015.
Initial success spurs more access to data
To achieve the goal of increased data transparency, 2Paths and DesignStamp conducted in-depth research on ways to make complex data easy to find and digest. We built an innovative visual design and a sophisticated data application to create enhanced dashboards. The dashboards provide interactive map views and rich, interactive charts to explore the data and allows for deeper data analysis. Visitors to Dashboards can explore work being done at a country level, sub-national (district) level or view and compare program performance between countries or over a time range.
