Health Services

Many health science companies produce numerous prototypes and experimental samples in the course of its product development activities, primarily within R&D. Each of these is evaluated, generating data. The prototypes and data together represent the deliverables from the R&D process. These activities occur, and outputs are often generated at multiple company locations and by multiple functional teams within R&D as a whole. Functional teams can be constituted by areas of expertise (e.g. Analytical, Pharmacology, Formulations) and also by product development effort, (e.g. Project Teams). A commonality that exists across many health science companies are that there are no adequate means for disparate groups to collaborate, sharing requests, data or other information and materials. In addition, there are no consistent means to track materials as they are transferred between individuals or groups. Neither materials nor data are adequately indexed, so that later retrieval can be problematic.

The systems that 2Paths creates are finely tuned to wrap around a health science company's processes like a glove. It often deals with their core functionalities as dictated by head researchers, and confirmed by user groups within the laboratories. We put effort towards the approach of interviewing user groups to ensure buy-in and functionality fit.

2Paths creates prototype implementation with the final build of the application completed in such a way to allow future functionality to be added in easily (eg. hardware management inventory, request flow etc.). What the health sciences company gets for the investment is a system that provides appropriate functionality without paying anything extra for functionality that is not needed and may never be needed. More importantly, the users of the system are not required to change their work flow, thereby not hindering productivity.
